The Tentative Contract Agreement is now available for your download and review. You may download it in the download area on the right hand side of this web page. Information meetings are scheduled with members of the bargaining team available to answer questions about the agreement. Voting is also scheduled.

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Jason Herring. I am the Business Manager for NEMSA's Corporate Office. I am writing this note to explain what happens next and ask for your patience as we prepare this contract for viewing. All timeframes mentioned are subject to change depending on how long the first step takes.

1st week of March - AMR and NEMSA will compile all tentative agreements and place into one document. Both AMR and NEMSA will review the document for content, clerical errors, and any other problems. We will dot the i's and cross the t's to prevent problems later. This usually takes about a week, sometimes two weeks depending on the contract.

2nd week of March - contract will be posted online. Mailer will be sent out to everyone's home regarding the contract and will include a detailed summary of the contract and location to access the tentative contract for review.

3rd week of March - voting will be scheduled. Copies of the contract will be available at vote locations for review and bargaining team members / NEMSA staff will be available to answer questions.

After the last day of voting, the votes will be counted at a public meeting for all to see.

If the vote is to approve the contract, NEMSA will notify AMR. NEMSA will then have a copy of the contract sent to everyone's home on DVD in the next 4-6 weeks, depending on processing time. Hard copies of the contract will also be available.

If the vote is to not approve the contract, NEMSA will provide additional details at that time.

Your current contract has been extended to allow for voting.
