NEMSA, with a member-led contract bargaining team and supported by NEMSA staff and attorneys has reached a tentative contract with AMR in Riverside CA.  The tentative contract is a large and complex document that will dramatically improve the wages, benefits, and working conditions for NEMSA members in Riverside.

NEMSA and AMR need about a week to finalize and format the contract before releasing it for public review.  A vote of Riverside employees will be scheduled after that.  The tentative contract calls for a return to seniority step based pay, with a significant pay increase over three years.  Other features include additional pay steps for long-term employees, employer-seeded FSA debit cards to reduce out of pocket healthcare costs for all employees, and changes to work rules and working conditions that will dramatically improve member's lives.  The tentative contract is unanimously endorsed by the entire member-led Riverside Contract Bargaining Team.

Riverside members can expect information to come via US Mail and information meetings to be scheduled soon about the contract offer.  Once NEMSA and AMR finalize the contract language, public copies of the contract will be made available for review and a contract vote scheduled.  The current contract has been extended to allow time for review and voting on the tentative contract.
