Producers from the Discovery Channel recognize NEMSA an industry leading expert on EMS and approached NEMSA asking for assistance with the production of a new Discovery Channel program dealing with medical situations in which patients die and then are resuscitated back to life. Specifically, producers of the program are requesting NEMSA members breadth of experience in dealing with medical patients and resucitation. Using interviews, CGI effects, and re-enactments, the series will unravel the stories of how survivors of death in field situations come back to life, from a medical point of view. The show is yet untitled but is described as showing how some people can "beat the odds" and come back to life after being dead.
NEMSA is asking that any members wanting to tell a story or stories of persons and patients who have "died and come back to life" with or without medical intervention contact NEMSA using the email form below or by calling 866-544-7398. NEMSA will briefly interview you and with your permission, pass on your contact information to producer of the Discovery Channel series. The various stories and incidents are being handled very professionally with information changed to protect the privacy status of patients and protect health care providers from Patient Confidentiality / HIPPA type violations.
Any NEMSA member wanting more information or wishing to submit a story to the Discovery Channel for consideration should use the email form below or contact the NEMSA office for more information. 866-544-7398
